This is not an easy theme so we will be spending at least a week practicing, first drawing people (show girls, gamblers, people in evening clothes, etc.), then we will practice drawing game elements (deck of card, dice, roulette wheel, etc.). After that we will view some pictures and have a discussion about composition. Once the students have a clear understanding of what composition is and how to go about putting elements together to make a good composition, they will begin sketching ideas for their final mural design.
